Weaving is a very addictive and calming practice. I am drawn to the slow methodical nature of this craft practice. I like how working on a hand loom cannot be sped up or mass produced, it’s a meditative process that forces you to slow down, take time and gradually build a piece.Read More

Make this beautiful wooden hand loom yours. Made with love by hand in Fremantle Western Australia. These beautiful hand looms are great for making small woven wall hangings or wall tapestries.
I’m really excited to offer this weave kit to you. I have spent many hours in the studio building, designing and perfecting this loom design and weave kit and in the process I have fallen in love with power tools.
This weave kit will help you complete a beautiful woven wall hanging roughly 30cm x 60cm depending on your design and the length of your tassels. They can be easily dismantled and assembled are made with light Pine Dar so they are great travel activities and easy to store. Suitable for ages 9 years to 100 years.
The weave kit includes:
1 x Hand made, Tasmanian ash sustainable loom 40cm x 30cm
1 x simple instructional booklet
1 x yarn needle
1 x Warping thread
3 x Small lengths of vintage wool in a pastel and earthy colour pallet
1 x Length of white roving yarn
1 x cardboard base
1 x copper hanging rod
*Please note I try to source sustainable recycled wool so the colours will vary from the photo, but I will stick to a pastel /earthy colour pallet.
Keep in mind the wool provided in the kit will be a great start, however you may need to add some of your own wool to complete a large wall hanging.
The wooden hand loom will arrive on your doorstep as 4 parts (see picture 3) which can easily be assembled.
